EPPD: Employment Program for Persons with Disabilities

The Ministry's Employment Program for Persons with Disabilities (EPPD) provides a range of specialized services to help individuals with disabilities participate in their communities, pursue their employment goals as they are able, increase their self-reliance, and build skills and experience that may lead to further employment or volunteer opportunities.

Vancouver Community College Job Readiness Program

Ten-month program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults to learn skills for entering the workforce. Tuition is free. VCC also offers classes on ASL, English upgrading, and Speechreading (lip-reading).

Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Scholarship

The mandate of CHHA is to encourage awareness of hearing loss and to advocate self-help for hard of hearing or deafened people. Its aim is to achieve full hearing accessibility in Canadian society. The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Foundation was established to create a perpetual financial legacy to support the activities of CHHA, and create specific initiatives for hard of hearing or deafened persons in Canada.

WBP: Well Being Program for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind

The Well-Being Program (WBP) is a government funded mental health service, under the auspices of the Vancouver Community Mental Health Services within the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. The program offers four tracks of service: therapy, interpreters, support work, and community education.

BC Provincial Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Provincial Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (PSDHH) provides supports and services to children who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Deaf-Blind to maximize their potential and increase accessibility in the community.
